Shimmer: A Rational and Gentle Home Style

The Shimmer residential house stands out with its innovative approach to creating a harmonious living space. By moving the workspace to the central point and connecting it with the public areas such as the living room and dining room, the study becomes a delicate glass display box. This design choice retains openness and allows for more viewing and interaction with a beveled angle of moving lines.

One of the unique features of the Shimmer house is the careful consideration given to the different lifestyles of its occupants. By creating a transparent view and incorporating a double entrance design, open communication with the family is retained while also allowing the owner to maintain the concentration required for work. The sharp angles of corners are removed with the angles of moving lines at the dining room, creating a more inviting and interactive space.

The overall color scheme of the Shimmer house is characterized by natural earth tones such as wood and grey. This choice creates a calm and rational atmosphere throughout the space. The paintings on the walls depict elements of heaven and earth, using different materials and lines to create a unique visual personality. In addition to the main lighting, detailed light strips and metal trims are embedded, adding a delicate and warm breath of life at night.

Technical specifications of the Shimmer house include a modern living space that combines rationality and leisure. The use of neat black mirror and iron wire space highlights the layering of the space, while earth tones and natural textures such as wood and gray create different spatial expressions between the ceiling, floor, and wall. The multi-level lighting arrangement adds versatility to the atmosphere, allowing for different moods and settings.

The design of the Shimmer house is the result of extensive research and consideration. The workspace's central location and connection to the public areas were based on the understanding of the different working hours of each occupant. The main challenge in designing the Shimmer house was finding a balance between preserving life interaction with family members and respecting the living comfort and needs of each occupant. By creating a semi-open spatial core and incorporating moving lines, this challenge was successfully overcome, resulting in a design that promotes both productivity and family connection.
